I got a call from this company because they saw my resume online. The lady that I talked to sound like she didn't want to give me too much info over the phone about the position.

I'd like to know what job I am being interviewed for Prior to accepting an interview. I accepted anyway to see what info she was emailing to me about the company. I googled the comapnay and found this site, so here I am! I'm not going to go to it because she was trying too hard sell the company to me...almost like they were begging me to set a date to interview with them.

That seems too desperate to me. Plus the reviews about the company help influence my decision.

Yeah Neal Quimby is my father. And everyone he recruits to work for him and sees his vision makes a ton of money. So many fools on here.

I received the same call last week. I was so excited just like everyone else.

My so called interview is Tuseday at 10:00. I'm so disappointed. My son is in school now and I am looking to go back to work. Have been applying everywhere I think I qualify for.

You know what they say, if it sounds to good to be true, it probably is. My suspicions were confirmed and I will not be going either.

Thank you everyone for your comments. They sure did help!

I'm glad I googled the reviews on Bankers. I had an interview tomorrow at 10:00.

I don't need to waste my time now. Thanks guys!!!

WOW and to think i was actually excited for my job search to be looking up. I got the same call everyone else on here recieved only i was forced to google the address to find out exactly what the company was because i could not understand the lady to whom i was speaking with.

After reading all these reviews i will not be attending their "interview" next week.

Bankers life & casualty co. should be absolutely ashamed of themselves.

This same thing happened to me. I have been job hunting because I am about to graduate college, and these people called me.

The woman on the phone was evasive and I knew I hadn't posted a resume to anything in the area I was getting calls from or in the marketing field. She said she had emailed me (hadn't).

The first thing you're taught in journalism school is: "If your mother says she loves you, check it out." Don't take anything for granted. Glad I started Googling and found a ton of threads like this.

I also put my resume on Monster. Guess what?

24 hours later, automated "hey click this link to schedule an interview with us!" I thought, this is amazing! It was so simple! Then I thought to research the company so I would have some questions for the "interview." Good thing I found so many links about "bankers life interview scam." Screw that, I'm gonna save my gas. Bankers, you should be ashamed of yourself.

Scamming all of these innocent people.

All we want is a decent job! Ugh!

I was contacted by Bankers Life, probably because they saw my resume on a job site.

(I was connected with Title Insurance up to 2008, at which time the housing market fell thru the bottom and I was laid off.)

I specifically asked the caller if his contact was for recruitment for commissioned sales for Bankers and was completely mislead by the caller that I was coming in for a general interview with Bankers Life; and that they had several possible positions for me, including clerical.

(I stressed to the caller from Bankers, that I was NOT interested in sales at all and asked them to please not have me come in to hear a "pitch" about being a commissioned sales rep - thereby wasting my gas and time). He repeatedly assured me that it was NOT a recruitment call/interview.

Lo and behold - I get there and was called in for an interview with one of their sales reps, along with three other individuals AT THE SAME TIME. And yes, it was recruitement for commissioned sales! Gathered from the interviewer himself that they get a commission/perks for how many bodies they get in to pitch "commissioned sales positions" to!

Won't fall for it again. :upset

I recently graduated college with a degree in Surgical Technology and had posted my resume on various resume sites. Today (Friday, January 6) I got a call from a woman saying that she was with Bankers.

She said that they had seen my resume and wanted to know if I was interested in staying in the surgical field or if I was considering my options. Curious as to what she wanted, I said that I was considering my options. She replied that Bankers was interested in interviewing me for a job and that the company was looking for people who were willing to stick with the company long-term. Interested but a little puzzled, I asked what kind of employment they had in mind, to which she gave some vague answer about Bankers not exactly being in the medical field but still needing people (she sounded a little irritated that I had asked this).

That should have been my first clue that this was a scam. She asked me if I could come in for an interview on Monday at 1:00 PM, to which I agreed. She then told me to show up 15 minutes early and to bring a copy of my resume. That should have been my next clue that something was wrong.

I couldn't help but wonder to myself, "Don't you already have that?" Then she asked me where I live. I told her, but again, that information is on my resume, so shouldn't she know? Well, I'm sure glad that I decided to Google this company because I was able to find this website and read about the experiences of others who have been called in for รขโ‚ฌล“interviewsรขโ‚ฌย by Bankers.

It would have been a complete waste of time and gasoline. Now that I have read all these other comments, I will not be going!

Thanks everyone, I received the same type of phone call just today and at first I was excited being that I have been unemployed for quite some time now. I hear my worries and concerns exactly in all or most of your posts.

Well now, after reading all this I certainly won't be going to my 9:30 interview on Thursday. Plus, it's over an hour from my home.

I never applied for an insurance position either.

I'm an accounting manager not an insurance agent. So thank you for saving me from potential doom.

You are an agent of Bankers Life. You know people don't want to read your junk.

It is simple. It targets seniors, scams seniors, scams recruits, scams shareholders, scams people in general. Take a moment to read all the complaints, fines, violations, the Market Conduct Study, the investigations, the TV shows on it and get in touch with reality.

You very familiar with the reality of the need, you use it everyday to get into the seniors money. You are a sad example of a lying Bankers agent, since you're not even good at it.

I too was called for an interview. It is scheduled for tomorrow.

I am glad that I googled this company and read all of your comments. It is just so frustrating to know that I get an interview somewhere and it is a fake. Several years ago I went to an interview just like this one and they wanted me to pay for training, mileage, and so on. After the training I was to be on my on comission only, in this economy really!

With this go around I asked the "scripted lady" on the phone if I could meet another time and she said they only do interviews on Tues and Thursday.

Sounds like to me that these interviews are info sessions trying to sell (scam) us. Well thanks again to all of th ecomments and I hope that everyone has the best of luck in the job search.

This is a company that does market to senior citizens because this is a MEDICARE insurance provider. They are in no way a scam.

My grandmother has Bankers and has had them for many years. A couple of years ago she did a stint in the hospital that cost over 100k. She didn't pay one cent. Bankers and medicare took care of EVERYTHING.

So I ask how you uneducated people can say a company that saves a senior citizen tens of thousands of dollars is a bad thing?

You should probably know what you're talking about before you make yourself sound like a complete ***. But hey if you don't want to make six figures a year you can keep working your punch the time clock job and being unhappy with your professional life.

O yea, and they said they were from Milwaukee, and Milwaukee is 414 area code not 262. I was getting a weird number calling me all day yesterday from a 414 area code.

They musta switched it up from 414 to 262 and decided to actually leave a voicemail today. Wonder how many call centers they really have >=|

Guest

Yea i got a call and i couldnt even understand the name or company, all i did was google the phone number and it brought me to this site. How unprofessional, she called twice, and the second time leaving a voicemail.

You think they would have left a voice mail the first time? But if i cant even understand what company or what your name is, how am i suppose to call back just aiming for who knows what. This job place doesnt even sound like anything i know how to do. Im a programmer, not an insurance rep or sales person.

Thanks guys for your posts, just a little disappointing but OH WELL. !!
