Well let me first say that this company does some nasty things to people. I was called for an interview with this company, so I was of course psyched, I was told it was for a management position, so I promptly show up for my interview, to find out it was with a class of about 20 people and then told it was the 1st step in the interview process, and the second interview, again I promptly went at my scheduled time, and yep you guessed it, there were about 15 people at this interview, and when I asked about if it was a management position and was told that you need to start out as an agent first then work your way up the latter to a management position, so I was called for the 3rd interview, showed up for that, I was surprised when I was the only candidate at the interview, they make it sound like you can make tons of money doing this agent thing, so I thought OK I will do what it takes, well I am discusted, I did their pretest *** only to fail it twice, but yet when I was at home doing the same "pretest" on thier website, I was passing with 85% or highr four times, so I thought for sure, it would ba a simple task to take the pretest at their place, but wow I was wrong, I failed twice , how is this possible, well then I thought, OK I guess this ins agency thing isn't for me, I will stay in my current field with earnings of 60K per year, so I called to see if I could get a refund of my $210, which is supposedly start up costs, and never even got a call back, all I can say is this company is making a killing on prospective employees, which are not able to pass the test to even start the job, hence why they probably only have 20 agents in their office.

Remember they do this interview process each and every week with atleast 20 candidates interviewing, so they are definitly doing very well. Shame on them for the way they mislead people that are looking for jobs, only to find out they will be out money to even start the job, and then after you get the position(if you pass the test , then state exam, your first week is traing which you do not get paid for.

I am thinking of calling my cousin that is an attorney or the local news station to see if this is a legal practice or if they are scamming people out of money, seems to me like a scam. OK I guess enough said, just use caution if you want to go work with this company.

Thanks, Sincerely to all of you.

I was also offered a position with this company this morning.

I notice that all calls are recorded for quality insurance.

Very concerned about some of this LIFE INSURANCE Co.

Thank you for the heads up.

I certainly do not want to waste anytime.

I have two small girls so this information is greatly appreciated.

GREAT WORK PPLE -2014 ( I too have done the research! ) the research

The Memphis location is a JOKE. The managers do not know their Job, They keep teasing the job of manager, but it never happens for anyone. Spend a week being trained on a flip chart but the Manager is too cheap to buy them so you are told to "Wing it"

I am so glad I googled this company's name before I even THOUGHT about going in for the interview. I have never had a company call me LITERALLY five to six times a day to come in for an interview.

Plus the people that they had call me could barely speak English! Anytime a company calls you up and starts asking questions like it's turning into a sales pitch, I get leery.

With the language skills of their callers, they must really be scraping the bottom of the barrel. In fact call this number (818)666-**** (It's apparently their office in the San Fernando Valley, CA) and tell me if you can even understand what these people are saying.

My wife was supposed to have an "interview" next week. I have been through thses companies before.

THEY'RE BULL$H!T!!

If you have to pay out of your own pocket for a job, there is no way that it's legit. These bloodsuckers need to get real jobs.

I am so glad I investigated this number that called me before the gentleman called me back because I will not be taking his call now. It's not right to post a Resume on Monsters thinking only employers with good company standards could call me instead i got a call from this scam company..Well I guess i should put something like your going to be speaking to a smart cookie here so don't bring your scams here because I will investigate you get over on me!

All of you guys needed to understand the 1099 contractor concept. If you don't have enough money to start your own business, you shouldn't be trying to work as a 1099!

I work there and it's great! I get to help seniors and make money. If you are blaming it on the management, well, you just suck! No matter where I have worked, I am always responsible for my income and my ethics.

This mentality is what makes an employee better than average. Pull yourself up by the bootstraps and use your own ethics and elbow grease.

If you are expecting a job that holds your hand and promises to "manage" you every step of the way, then apply at McDonalds. They actually have a pretty decent management program at the corporate level, should you decide to go beyond just flipping the patties (although, no-one is going to pull you up there by your panties just for flipping a few good burgers)

Why is it that id*ots who sell insurance or knock on doors for 100% commission, always suggest McDonalds as an alternative? Is it because McDonalds or a lame sales job are the only options they have in THEIR lives?

Where are you now Deric? Since you pretty much admitted to the world that working at McDonalds or bugging people to buy insurance are your only career choices, I am betting your current position involves asking "would you like fries would that".

Congratualtions on your excellent decision! You have great potential.

Having seen the light so early has saved you thousands of dollars. You can now become a real agent. Stop over and visit the scam.com site for helpful advise on what to do now. Search 'Bankers Life is a scam'.

Your post was a good laugh. We would love to be there hearing you tell them how many ways to kiss it.

Guest

I am still working for them for 100% free, this is my second week and tomorrow i will tell them to kiss my *** tomorrow. By reading these posts I realized this is 100% true about this BS company.

Cold calling old people from neme lists that everybody else from bankers already called them at least 10 times everyday.THIS IS SCAM.Every time I walked by by the recruiter office I could hear her talking on the phone" Yes this is a management position and I need you to come for a 1 hr interview. She is on that phone constantly, talking the same thing. THEY WANT FREE TELEMARKETERS NOT AGENTS.I had to pay for everything out of my pocket, license, online courses, LTC online 8 hr course and I even had to pay for the *** appt book $ 6 and some cents. When you call people , people are so fed up with them oh and the best thing they do not use Gryphon system, so you can call even people on do not call list.

Few of the people I had said they will file a complain because they get tons of calls from them everyday. People beg them to remove their names from the list but it is not happening

That was no recruiter, that was a telemarketer or appointment setter. And they get paid by how many people they can *** into showing up, so they will say anything. A real company offering a real opportunity does not have to mislead applicants into coming in for a so-called interview (it is actually just a sales presentation).

I WORKED for this company for over 6 months, 60K a year sounded pretty tasty to a new mom with some basic education. I paid the money for the state exams and my license, then to work I went.

I was forced to call little old ladies who were over insured already to pressure them into buing something that they didnt need. I did all the work but was forced to split my measly commission with the trainer. No big deal I let it roll off my back, continue working for months with no commission, cold calling and making appointments to fill up my work week that never panned out. I went into peoples homes and saw their family photos only thinking what am i doing?

I hated my job , I finally got so desperate to make some money that my own mother put some of her investments into bankers. It worked out well for her, thank god. but as for me, I got told that they OVER paid me and I needed to pay them back. NOPE, kiss my lily white ***!

I poured blood, sweat and tears into my job trying to create something out of nothing. It was my worst experience in the working world.

Thank you guys for posting this info. I just got a call regarding my resume posted on Monster.

I was excited to have an interview, however two weeks ago I fell for the Primerica scam, so I was a bit wary. I asked if it was a commission based job or hourly wage. The rep would not tell me.

As soon as I got off the phone I googled Banker's life. This saves me a lot of time and energy, as I will not be showing up for the fake interview on Monday.

I received a call from Bankers Life & Casualty posted out of Scranton, PA. They claimed to be a recruiter and who came across my resume on monster.com.

when i asked what the position was they said they were unsure of the position i would be interviewing for but that i would need to discuss it with Mr. Sharuda at my interview. I did a little research on this company only to find out they are scamming people. monster.com should do a little screaning of companies before allowing them to post on this site, or even gain access to resumes.

HUGE SCAM

the call that i received came from a Melissa Newton.

It's funny how fast these people work. I posted my resume on Saturday and by Tuesday I have recieved an e-mail and a phone call from a different agent from them.

To make it worse I am also getting phone calls from Prime America another scam.

Thank you for posting these. You just saved me from wasting my time and money

Guest
