The reason they contracted your scummy father-in-law, it that he fits right in with the type of person they like. He's probably a manager.

If not, he soon will be. They '*** out', those ethical, moral types, as they actually have a concious, and don't like the lying to the seniors about those bogus changes in Medicare, to get into the house to get some of that fixed income for those claimless insurance products. Just take a look again at the Doc/***-head. He is standard issue over there at Bankers,...not only is he sorry, he's got time to be out here showing himself to us.

Your father-in-law, couldn't be in better company, a company of his peers. They need him, as he is willing to do do their bidding and enjoys the concept. It's a great example of what we've been talking about.

Those clowns in Rockford are thrilled to have him.

Oh ya,....Big Dic+k, crawl out from under YOUR rock, and give us another of your pithy comments, so everyone will want you to come by their house, and bring 'Dear's' father-in-law with you. That way we'll take care of two birds with one stone.

Guest

I'm sorry, I didn't put the complete name. It's US Senate Special committee on aging, please google and notify them.

Guest

Please Please report him to the US Senate in Washington DC. Google for the phone number and call or send a statement. Please for all the seniors, the elderly that is being scammed by your father in law and all Banker's predators.

Guest

Old Doc, since Bankers does so many in depth backround checks on their agents. Explain to my how my no good father in law is an agent.

He has been fired from multiple job for being lazy, late, and not doing what he is supposed to. In addition he has been fired from multiple jobs for sexual harrassing customers, and making them feel uncomfortable. Not to mention he has committed insurance fraud himself and convicted of it.

He works out of the Rockford IL office. I found all of this info on him after I married his daughter by searching for him on the internet and look him up in a Criminal Justice data base

Guest

OMG,,, YOU GUYS SHOULD PRINT OUT WHAT OLD DOC WROTE AND SEND IT TO WASHINGTON. THIS IS PROOF OF THE *** THAT WORK AT BANKERS.

THIS IS SO SCARY TO KNOW THAT THIS KIND OF *** IS GOING IN SENIORS HOMES.

I WORKED IN A NURSING HOME AND BANKERS NEVER PAID BENEFITS DUE TO OUR PATIENTS.

I HATE THIS COMPANY TOO. THEY SHOULD BE PUT OUT OF BUSINESS!!

THIS MAKES ME SO MAD THAT I'LL PRINT IT OFF AND SEND TO TOMORROW FOR ALL OF YOU WHO HAVE BEEN HURT BY THIS *** AND CREEPS FROM BANKERS!!

Guest

You are the one with very little intellect and you wouldn't know the definition of mature if the Webster dictionary was in front of you. The one "thing" you are is a true poster child of a scamming Bankers agent. I don't know who the commenter is that you are trying to harrass, but as hated as YOU and Banker's is on this forum, I wouldn't be offering to come to anyone's home, because Mr. Attitude, you probably will have that rock you speak of, thrown in the back of your head---which you would deserve!!

Intelligent, you're not, that's why the only way you can make a living is to prey upon the elderly. Run your mouth on earth because as others on here have said, you will burn in h-ell.

Also, you need to get your facts straight before you tap those fingers on keyboard defending Bankers. The investigation by the federal government is very true. Gov rep's have notified every states insurance commissioners that Bankers is currently scamming in, asking for all complaints filed on your beloved company.

If you were not scared, you wouldn't be on this forum defending this soon to be exposed pyramid scam company. You're only trying to scam new job seekers!

Colonial Penn is another Banker's affiliated scam company. Readers also check out scam.com, with more Banker's victims, plus law suits currently filed on Bankers.

Guest

To bad you don't have a clue, my office is not under investigation, nor has it been. Those involved with the questionable practices you refer to were from a different office and were terminated for their actions. Bankers has a zero tolerance policy for unetical practices.

I don't know what your problem is but since you seem unable to speak in any sort of intelligent and mature manner, that is no suprise.

Actually, the turnover rate at Bankers is better than the industry average. Industry wide, only about 1 in 30 make past the third year. In case you are also mathmatically challanged, that means about 97% don't make it. The reason? It's a hard job and unless you are willing to pay the price, you will not make it.

I will be glad to come over to your house, which rock is it under?

Guest

You actually do have a rotten egg smell through the computer....your office is the one that was featured on the Inside Edition expose, that was on TV in June 2010. All your peers hate you.

Your clients probably don't remember their own names.....yet, you still defend yourself and them. Have some more of that koolaide. You can't post on scam.com, because you've been banned, so you come by over here and try to sell more of your ignorance.

It's not flying here either, and that 'Bankers dream' that posted below, is prefect for you. Now get back under that bridge where you belong, till the feds shut Bankers down,...oh wait...even the trolls can't stand you.

Job Scam

I just received an unsolitated call from a woman who could barely speak English, obviously calling from a call center in India. The number came up as one from my local area code. Bankers Life is outsourcing their jobs to a questionable region when so many in the U.S.A. are seeking work. This is a region where lying is an accepted practice. In view of recent events in Pakistan, regarding Bin Laden would you want to do business with this company? One who does not support our local citizens but exploit them by taking their money, failing to pay out claims and using less than honest techniques to obtain business? Do not support Bankers Life or any company that is willing to destroy our country by sending our jobs out of the country and is willing to employ persons in a region that accepts lying as a standard practice. Yes, Pakistan is a separate country from India but the culture still accepts lying and dishonesty as a standard business practice until they are caught in it.

I got a call once from them last year. Attended the meeting but never took the job.

I got a call from them again today and did not realize at first this was the same company. They set me up for an interview but I am not going.

Guest

I got a call from an man with an American accent. I am glad I looked this up.

He said he found my resume online, but didn't say where. I am going to avoid this, thanks for the info everyone.

Guest

I just got the call that I was selected to work for Bankers Life and Casualty Co.

Guest

Thank you so much for the info!!! I'm so glad I avoided wasting my time and resources, too!!

I was just contacted my these people, too, when I have no background or interest in finances or insurance!! Awesome, alert!!

It's up to us to protect ourselves since we're not protected by consumer laws. Thanks, fellow Americans!!

Guest

Thanks for the info, I'm unemployed and these people just contacted me to drive 40 minutes to an "interview"...i found it odd they contacted me with no experience in insurance too...

Guest

Yeah, I think they got me too. This type of stuff is no good.

I'm out of work right now and can't afford to run around town to scam interviews. I have a appointment at 11am today and as of now, after reading these reviews; I will not be attending that interview. I thought it was funny that I got a call around 7pm from a automated service about my resume. In my 20 years working that has never happen.

Then the next day the lady from India called me.

It seems not only do they prey on the elderly but the honest job seekers as well. *** It hurts because I really need to find work SOON!

Guest

I agree I got the same phone call from the same woman? Whom ever she was spoke no english I couldnt understand anything she said and when asked a question she didnt "read" she was lost. Seems like a scam to me

Guest

Bankers is trying to recruit new job seekers to scam as many elderly as they can because Bankers is being investigated by the federal gov in Washington DC. Bankers's is trying to make all the money possible until the investigation begins and they are put out of business!

They want job seekers to do their dirty work!

Guest

THANKS FOR THE POST..I WAS GOING TO THE INTERVIEW UNTILL I READ THIS..I THINK ITS A SCAM..

Bankers Life equals Jailors and prisoners

I just experienced the interview and training process with Bankers Life. I never thought I would say this, but are they related to Amway and their design of "pyramid marketing"?

I finished the phone training session. I found out that the lead that were given to "New Agents" were over 60+ days old, and you are held prisoner on the phone calling and booking appointments. Forget about having any personal time or family time.

Also, you are "required" to contribute from your pay into the office/supply/lead generating fund. Bankers is not for me or any other out of work individual.

I worked for them for nearly 18 months and was fairly successful...but, they are the MOST Unprofessional organization I have ever worked for. I saw forgery, sexual harassment, and just broken promises.

I saw my manager remove agents names from apps. I was an honest person in a dishonest office. Definitely would not recommend them to anyone looking for a job. Most of the many many people I saw come thru that office were in much worse financial shape than when they came.

I saw hard workers get made fun of behind their backs if they weren't "cool". At least the manager got fired after I left, so maybe he is hitting on the babes at burger king now.

Guest

For those that complain about having to pay for office expenses, you own your own business...Bankers is allowing you to use their portfolio of products. If you had to do your own startup and find your own customers you would not get anything close to what they provide you.

Leads are just names and numbers, there is nothing that makes one better than the next except the person making the call. If you were not talented enough or motivated enough to succeed, dont blame Bankers

Guest

I just had a call from them earlier! Im guessing I wont be going to this appointment afterall since its a scam, gosh dang it!

Dont want to waste my time on *** things. Im guessing this would be a job/career for me anyways.

Guest

Bankers is a complete scam. There's a special place in *** for people who not only bait and switch their own employees, but who scam elderly sick patients.

In terms of your question about Amway, the answer is that they are not even close. Amway is not a pyramid scheme, but more so MLM. Amway Global itself is an actual corporation that manufactures, markets, and sells a variety of products on its own. They market themselves through in-house work and then separately through multi-level marketing. It's a multi-billion dollar corporation on its own. The MLM just helps sell its products.

MLM is all about bonus structures and lines of association. If you become a part of someone's LOA, your success in selling products gives them a higher bonus. But essentially you are just starting your own company and working however hard you want. There aren't expectations for how much to sell and there are none of those ridiculous phone banks. If you want to sell a bunch, go ahead. Most people create websites and their own companies selling the Amway products.

So short answer, no, Amway is nothing like this Bankers trash.

Guest

I have been this route as well, and though a struggle, have met with success. No, I'm not rich, or even getting there, but I have seen my business start and grow. (No I did not show a profit my first year, but I got by.) I can't speak for every experience since Bankers has hundreds of offices nationwide, but I was given every tool to succeed and help at every step -- far more than other insurance companies give based upon discussions with agents from other companies.

Yes, you make a contribution toward office expenses, but a lot less than you would as an independent agent, and those leads are expensive, averaging about $20 each. All this said, being an agent is a difficult job, and is not for everyone. I would guess in my office we see 1 in 10 succeed, and that is WAY higher than the industry average. (I do not remember the exact number but I think it is less than 1 in 30.) You have to want to help people.

Perhaps that is the key, you have to really want to help people and strive to do the right thing every time. If you do, people will see that and respond, and you will succeeed.

Every company will have some bad eggs, and every once in a while there will be a glitch, but I will say that Bankers strives for excellence in customer service. The emphasis is always on helping the people you meet and making sure that what you do is in their best interest. Almost all claims (98%) are paid within 7 to 10 working days. Perhaps my experience is somewhat atypical since I work in the number one office in the nation, but I have meet agents from other offices and see the same attitudes in them. Yes, it's hard, what business isn't? Yes, many fail, but it has been my observation they also fail to work or persevere. They give you the tools you need, but you still have to make it happen, and that takes hard work and disipline. BTW I mostly work Monday - Friday, often making Friday a short day and averaging 40-50 hours a week, so I am no "workahaulic".

Guest

They got my resume and phone # off Monster.com - I had coded my resume "employers only" but apparently everyone is able to view my personal information. What a ghastly bait-&-switch instead of a job opportunity! Thank you for writing

Guest

OMG.. are you guys kidding me...

thank you so much for this info.. i was probably going to be victim number 10000.00 lol I just went to their seminar, on 3/30/2011 and actually, they just called me today for an interview on Monday...

i knew this was to good to be true. Now on Monday i can give them a piece of my mind..:O

Guest

You couldn't be more correct. Sittin in that slavicle, mindlessly dialin Granny on those 60+ day old "leads".....you mean dialin those lucrative 'non-responders', right?

Meanwhile, some new screwbies have just hit the door, fresh from insurance school, needin money, and ready to mow down Granny with that 'important' information on Medicare. By then your attitude wasn't suiting the manager, so you got to watch them give the real 'responder' leads to the newest DA. You didn't need any family time, you were told to dial faster.

You have been set free, my friend!!! Sorry you wasted your time and money. Stop by scam.com and join us for the discussions of Bankers Life and Casualty Company. You'll see you are the typical post-Bankers shell shocked rescrewt.

Good job, letting these people here know the jail mentality, but expect some Bankers cultist to respond that you didn't work hard enough.

Stop over and visit, you'll see, what we know.

Unsolicitated calls

Just received a call from a barely understandable woman obviously from a call center in India. Said that they saw my resume on line and would I come in for an interview.

It is a cattle call for sales agents. I resent the fact that Bankers Life has outsourced their work to another country when so many people here in the USA need and want work. It is made even worse that it is to a region that supports terrorism. Oh yeah, I most definitely want to do business with a person in a region where lying is an accepted practice.

Especially in view of recent events concerning Pakistan and Bin Laden. Do not support Bankers Life or any other company that outsources their work outside of the U.S.A.

by purchasing their products. If they are willing to hire people in a region like this, can you really rely on their accountability or honesty in business?

Berenice Diaz is a very successful insurance professional. She can help provide you with a great career with Bankers Life, if you're a qualified candidate.

Not every job interview is like you see on TV. People who don't go to job interviews and are not really looking for a job (it would take away from the time they spend complaining about getting a job online).

Guest

If you lump India and Pakistan together, I wouldn't take your opinion very seriously.

Nevertheless, I received a similar call. She obviously hadn't looked at my resume at all (I'm a programmer), and thus these calls are the telephone equivalent of spam.

Guest

It surprises me how much *** there is on here. Lol people just don't get it, so easily influenced by a bunch of whiney internet fakes.

Why must you complain? It's not the company's fault YOU weren't successful enough. Sorry that everyone is so gullible, and honestly I would rather not have potentially worked with someone that wants to quit the game before they started playing.

Proof that you couldn't make it anyway. But I'll take a #4 super sized please lol.

I just recieved a call from her too and I'm in Nevada. I got so excited too.. :sigh

Check Bounced

BANKERS LIFE AND CASUALTY: We waited nearly 3 months to finally receive a life insurance claim check. This was after being on the phone with them many times and receiving more than severa lies. When the check finally arrived, it bounched and now I am out several thousands of dollars from my account and a return check fee to boot. I am ready to scream. My advice is to run kicking and screaming from this FAKE insurance company who loves to get your premiums for decades, then when a loved one dies, they fake ignorance and train their CS people to LIE LIE LIE.

I quite after I saw the way they treat seniors.

I was new with Bankers Life & Casualty. I quite when I saw the way seniors, our greatest generation, were being taken by them. I love seniors and want to help them. What I have experienced with Bankers is really sad. I have heard the seniors being lied to and seen them taken for a ride just because they are older and so trusting. I see them being jerked around by these agents. I have seen agents be 3 to 4 hours late and sometimes later getting to appointments and not bother to call the senior, but instead they just show up even if it is late in the evening. Some seniors' children *** work in order to be at these appointments with their elderly parent(s). The agent(s) seem to think that no one's time is important except theirs. When a senior calls a Bankers agent and wants help because her premiums have gone up from 30 or 40 something dollars a month to 90 dollars a month which she cannot afford, than a "manager" goes to this lady's house, and sells this senior citizen a policy for $180.00 a month, I see this as a c-r-i-m-e. If this lady cannot afford $90 a month, how on earth can she afford twice this much??? I have seen this "manager" on several occasions filling out the application before the senior has even agreed to take the policy, and the agent does not even show or explain the policy or plan to the senior. Rather than giving the seniors the choice, the agent tells them she knows just the policy for them and the seniors never see or hear about any choices. There was at least one case in which my "manager" wrote the senior's check and told the 80-year old lady to sign it. Isn't this stepping w-a-y over the line??? When I saw this kind of thing going on, I could not take it any more and could not be associated with such a scam operation. I do not worship the dollar, nor will I sacrifice our precious seniors at the altar of the "almighty" dollar.

What you describe is typical to all branch offices. They teach them to 'fill out' the checks. They teach them to 'fill out' the app before the senior can object. They teach them to imply that they are 'authority figures' and they know what the senior is 'supposed' to do.

The Nashville office is the worst of all the branch offices, so I hear. The manager is a complete liar, biget, bully, and thief, it is rumored. His minions will cancel policies that have not been delivered, to go out and rewrite, while telling the seniors that a correction is needed, it is rumored. The correction needed is a new agent on the app, in order to chargeback the recently departed/scr*ewed agent, it is rumored.

The female agents have 'paid' for their success in that office, it is rumored, and not with money, or time.

The Nashville stands at the top of a very low list, which is saying a lot, since they congratulate each other in the various branche offices on their subversive techniques.

You were right to think more of your soul, than to comply with the extreme that this particular office uses on it's agents/prospects/clients. When your own former branch office tells how this office 'out does' them, they are not talking about 'in sales', it's about the cruelty, lying, cheating, stealing from each other, misrepresentations, harassment, intimidation, coercion they know is used in Nashville led by their manager who excels in all of these 'virtues' and his sub-managers male or female who do what he values, or who just do him, it is rumored.

No one should ever want to be mired in their mindset.

Guest

You just wrote what Bankers agents are all about. Preying upon the vulnerable, lonely seniors.

Your son took his girlfriend to entertain a lonely client. I'm sure him and her visited talked chatted and had a great time, then at the end of the afternoon this sweet trusting vulnerable senior put his or her name on the dotted line of a contract that is WORTHLESS!! Expensive premiums being automatically withdrawn from their bank accounts and robbing seniors of their pensions and savings. Bnakers contracts are as worthless as the paper it's written on when this senior needs coverage.

But heck at least, your son made his commission!

Lady if you care about seniors and your son's soul, you better tell him to get a real job and stop being a predator on the elderly!

IF Bankers was legit, Washington DC, the feds would not be investigating for the second time. Hopefully by the Lord's hands, this time your son and all of Bankers will be OUT OF BUSINESS!!

Guest

Please don't apply your observations to the whole company. Here's why:

There is no such thing as a perfect company.

But my son has worked for this company for 1 and 1/2 years, so we know from this side. We helped support him initially - but he's on his own now and doing well. When you start, you do pay for training - but it's an investment in a career. It's not for everyone.

And as far as how they treat their customers - he's been encouraged to only be helpful, regardless of sales. People see he knows his stuff and wants to help - that's the best way to get clients. He also loves seniors. One time, he took his girlfriend to do a puzzle with a lonely client.

When he was training, he was impressed when his boss spent several hours helping one client sort through her various insurance - and didn't sell one thing.

My son works with integrity, and that's what he's experienced with this company. I also work with seniors (not insurance) and my husband and I would never encourage our son to stay with a company that took advantage of them!

Guest

Google the US Senate Special Committee on Aging in Washinton DC for the phone number to speak to a rep about Banker's investigation. They will guide you or answer any questions. They want your statement!

Guest

Contact the insurance commissioner in your state with your statement. Also tell them about the Banker's investigation by the US Senate in Washington.

Your state can stop Bankers from being able to sell any insurance in your state. I've contacted my state rep and contacting any government official I can in my state to make them aware of this investigation. From what I understand, the gov is going to stop Bankers agents from going in to these seniors homes and definitely fraud charges. Bankers was just fined and had a law suit settled in 2008 for fraud and illegal practices, but this didn't stop their predatory scam on seniors.

My hope is that this time Bankers is put out of business completely. I keep hoping this investigation will be exposed to the media. Google Inside Edition in June 2010 and you will see where this investigation was prompted from. According to DC rep.'s, continuing statements are coming in and extra reps have been hired to read and address each complaint.

Also, be aware of Colonial Penn.

Bankers merged with this company. I feel they knew that the company under Bankers name was aboout to be exposed.

It'a all of our duties to expose Banker's company and any who are taking advantage of our vulnerable seniors. Protect our seniors from Bankers *** agents!

Guest

Thank you so very much for the contact information for those I would contact about this travesty. I have written this address down and am going to do e-x-a-c-t-l-y what you suggested.

I just did not know who to contact. Now that I have the contact information, I will follow up on it. I cannot commit the sin of omission and stand back and allow these precious seniors to be abused. I did read somewhere on here that Bankers L & C is currently being investigated by both houses of Congress.

Thank you again so very much for the information.

If you think of another agency to whom this should be reported, please let me know. Very grateful!

Guest

YOU are obligated to write a statement detailing these type of illegal, unmoral practices being used by Bankers employees to the US SENATE SPECIAL COMMITTEE FOR THE AGING, G31 Dirksen Senate, Office Building, Washington DC 20510. You can sign it annonymous, but specify the city and state that this kind of practice is happening.

You can help save many many more seniors from falling prey to this pyramid scam company! It's like watching abuse but not doing anything about it!

Bankers Life & Casualty Scam

After some other nut trying to scam me last week by sending me a Cashier's check for over 2K (Chevron Credit Union), I decided to check this one out too. I got the call from them this morning as well, telling me to bring my resume and dress professionally. I never applied for this job and was also told that they got my resume off of Career Builder. Thank You Google. You just saved me a lot of gas money on someone that wanted to scam me once again. It makes you wonder if it is even safe anymore to look for jobs online. This is very upsetting!

Bankers Life is a total scam and fraud!

My 95 year old Mother-In-Law purchased a 10 year life/annunity policy from Bankers Life and Casualty Company just over 10 years ago without our knowledge. She paid them $67,000.00 CASH up front for the policy. Her policy matured last August of 2010. Since then they have refused to pay her the stated monthly annunity of $1185.00 per month or send her the total cash value of her policy which is $109,000.00, though we have requested the same over 100 times in writting and with more phone calls! All we get is lousy excuses, told to resend in more forms/requrests/put on hold and never gotten back to. They are TOTAL scam artists/criminals praying on our Senior Citizens who don't know any better. Want to sue them? Just line up with 100's of others who have outstanding pending suits for the same thing from all over the country.... Buyer Beware! Bankers Life is an organized criminal enterprise and nothing less! They take your money and will NOT pay off on your policy!

That they would admit they have no money. Surely you have sent all this to the commissioner of insurance in your state.

Don't forget to call/send to the Senate investigation of the company. Also there is a large class action lawsuit you need to join. Visit us over at the former agents forum to get the info that will help you, search Bankers Life and Casualty Company at the scam.com site and everyone will direct to the right place to help your mother.

You've even given us some helpful information with this post. Thanks!!!

3-29-11 UPDATE by original poster!

STILL trying to get money out of Bankers Life. Only getting more lies and the continued run around from Bankers no matter what paperwork is sent to them.

They did admit to two things though: 1) Claim they have NO money to pay out due to a "high" withdrawl rate as of late. 2) They use the "Hubbard" business model for their business! I know their lies sounded familiar! Hubbard as is in the ORGANIZED CRIME SYNDICATE SCIENTOLOGY founder!

AKA the "cult of greed, power and evil" according to TIME Mag... DO NOT BUY ANYTHING from Bankers Life & Casualty CO. It's a total scam and ripoff on a highly organized and professional level.

Scientology and it's members are well known for these types of insurance and ponzi scams and they know how to run you around so you NEVER get paid, as atested to by the numerous posters here..... You've been warned!

Guest

I worked at bankers life about 5 years ago and 99% of the agents in the office were unethical as ***. They would lie about anything just to get the money from seniors.

Trust me I know, I was trained by them. I didnt stay long after my training because I cant lie to people. If you want to see a true case of fraud that just came to light in the Seattle area look up "Jasmine Kassim steals over $1mil from seniors". I worked with this *** lady when I started.

Also when you type "banker life and casualty" in the search bar on google and the second predicted entry is "banker life and casualty scam" that should put up some big red flags.

Need more proof Boo Hoo? I can find tons of news stories and law suits filed against bankers scam and fraud.

Guest

It's still you BH/JH, trying a different approach. All any company needs is a death certificate and claim form.

This person has been given a large hassle, which is the norm. If you really got paid in three weeks, and you believe it was the agent helping you, then good for you.

More likely you are the stinkin agent, and you're going back with your flashers on, runnin red lights, cussing children in school zones, to resubmit that check back into a new anuity for your commission.

Let's all just assume the latter....and a few inbred issues of your own, you POS.

Guest

Don't know what your problem is with Bankers Life and Casualty. They just paid off on my wife's Annuity Benefits 3 weeks after my agent picked up a copy of the Death certificate. Sounds like your mother had a bad agent and still has one or you are not paying attention to what they are requesting.

Guest

What a cold blooded fool BH is. He could not be better at showing the public how the mindset is at Bankers Life and Casualty Company, a subsidy of the previously bankrupt, formerly known as Conseco, CNO Financial Group.

This DA, is a koolaide drinker of the highest order. When you have to resort to those kind of insults to defend a company, you are a scary person, capable of anything.

BTW, what's that phone number for the senate investigation committe? I have several hours I could set aside this week to discuss multiple abuses of seniors.

Guest

Who the heck sold her an annuity and why in the world at that age would she need it?

Drunks and liars

Run by the equivalent of high school hustlers. These people misled me about a great salary. )The average new agent makes under 20K a year.) They teach you to lie on the phone so you get invited to come to a senior's house....At a meeting, CONCORD, NEW HAMPSHIRE'S SENIOR MANAGERS BRAGGED ABOUT BEING BANNED FOREVER FROM THE BEST NEW ENGLAND RESORTS BECAUSE THEY GOT DRUNK AND WRECKED THEIR ROOMS AND HARASSED OTHERS. They actually bragged about this, like a bunch of teenagers The more you lie, the more senior citizens buy THAT'S THE PERK THEY WAVED AT ME...HOODWINK SENIORS TILL THEY ARE SO SCARED THEY BUY POLICIES, THEN COME WITH THE BOSSES AND GET FALLING-DOWN DRUNK AND TRASH A NICE RESORT HOTEL. They thought this would i-m-p-r-e-s-s Obnoxious NH high school and ex-military rip=off artists

Look I'm sure people have had bad experiences with bankers, but as an employee of bankers, I have to say, There are simply SOME PEOPLE YOU CAN'T PLEASE. And OF COURSE ONLY the upset customers post things online.

But in the time I've worked for banekrs, I have spent time HELPING people showing them their options, and helping people make educated decesions on what they want for there retirement needs, and or health insurance needs.

Its very disheartening to me to know that some one clearly didn't treat you right from our company, but just know we aren't all "high school hustlers" there have been quite a number of people who I have told to keep exactly what they have because I could NOT offer them anything better and REFUSE to push or presure people. I'm truely sorry for your bad experience but one bad agent doesn't make the whole company bad.

Guest

Bankers is an absolutely fantastic company to work for!!! It is very difficult when you start, but if you wnat to be compensated for how hard you work instead of being a salary slave, this might be a career option for you.

If it were easy, everybody would do it!!! Do not let the negative comments of chronically underachievers dissuade you from finding out about a career that will potentially be the best thing that ever happened to you. Outside of my wife and my kid, Bankers is the best thing that ever happened to me. And I'm not a "sales guy", just a very hard working, honest person.

I can't wait to go to work tomorrow!!! I love my career at Bankers!!!

UP YOUR *** with Bankers!!

Bankers is a pyramid ponzi scheme that targets the elderly.

Bankers agents are scammers and are robbing the elderly of their savings and pensions.

Bankers agents burn will He** for stealing from vulnerable seniors. I know I pray for it every night!!

I am quite disgusted with your idea of bankers. We do not steal, we do not scam, i'm very sorry you had a bad experience.

Wish it would of been me who had delt with you or whoever it was that was hurt by bankers, because I can promise you things would of been handled differently. Not all bankers agents are bad guys.

Guest

BS! I worked for Bankers.

It isn't at all like that where I worked. As a matter of fact, if you are suspected of anything in the respect of using the wrong tactics with any clients, they will turn you in & dismiss you!

Have seen it more than once. Sure your not a competitor trying to raise your own sales?

Guest

You describe just a small sample of the rude behavior they encourage. In fact, the more ethically challenged you are, the more likely you will be promoted. They know you will have no qalms about abusing, hard closing, misrepresenting, churning, misleading new rescruits, ect, ect, ect,...

They can't have people there, in the "IN" crowd, who might not see it their way.

No one who wants to do the right thing and have a good reputation, and a great career would consider going to the group interviews, and signing up for that. Which well illustrates the need for the mass recruiting.

Many a young, ambious person has been on one of their "trips" and found themselves owned by the company, and forced to do what they're told.

Please send this in a statement to US Senate Special Committee on aging in Washington DC. Please help save our seniors from these id-i-ots.

You don't even have to sign your name. Please, from a victim of Bankers!

My grandmother purchased a $1000 policy for my mother back in the 1950's. When my mother passed away 18 months ago, I tried and tried to get information from these people about her policy.

Anytime I left a message, I got no calls back. The one time I did speak to a person, they had no record of her ever having a policy.

article from sunday, good luck with that rate - "Last week, yet another insurer — Guardian Life Insurance Company of America — said that it will cease sales of its LTC insurance products by the end of the year. Instead, the insurer will concentrate on life and disability insurance.

The company, which has been issuing LTC insurance through its subsidiary Berkshire Life Insurance Company of America, decided to get out of the business after five years in the market. Its departure follows on the heels of MetLife Inc.'s exit from the LTC market and a large rate hike announced by John Hancock Life Insurance Co.

The US Senate on aging is investigating Bankers. Anyone who has been scammed by Bankers needs to contact them.

Also, contact your states insurance commissioner and the Governor and make them aware of this investigation.

Bankers need to be put out of business. Also beware of Colonial Penn, Bankers other insurance business!!

Guest

I purchased a Long Term Care policy from Bankers about 3 years ago. I recently read on-line about the fact that Bankers is absolutely horrid at paying claims especially in the LTC department.

I had another agent from a different company stop by to see if I could get a new LTC policy from a company that will pay their claims. I purchased a policy from John Hancock that is giving me MORE benefits, a Less elimination period and it is costing me $200 LESS a month for this policy, and I'm 3 years OLDER. Why? John Hancock is a AA+ rated insurer compared to Bankers which holds a D+ rated insurance company.

STAY AWAY FROM THEIR WORTHLESS POLICIES AND AGENTS. BANKERS IS A SCAM!!!!

Interview scam

Someone from Bankers Life and Casualty called me today. The person I spoke with said that they found my resume on Monster.com and would like to meet with me regarding a position. He said that this position is not a hard sales job and that their company helps out the elderly with any questions or issues they may have with their insurance. The person also said that they were looking for someone with a strong customer service background. He reminded me to dress professional and to bring a clean copy of my resume. I thought that was very strange.I just attempted to find out more information about this company and found this website. I am NOT going to this interview. WOW

I had the same exact conversation!

Guest

After I read all of these negative remarks I decided not to show up for the interview either. This lady, Carol keeps calling saying how much they wanted to interview me and wanted me speak with their boss for a career position these warnings are to be taken seriously. I told her that I had another job so she would quit calling and she said that I should remove my resume from Monster as soon as possible. That only goes to show you how controlling these people are!!!!!

Guest

I scheduled the ineterview, saw all the scam reports and I wont be showing up either!!

Guest

Thanks Nekk123

I am dressed and ready to leave for an interview this morning. I'm so glad at the last minute I decided to look up this company.

I was almost out the door. Thanks for the WARNING.

Guest

I got a similar email too. While researching about the company I cam across this site. I am not going for the interview either.

Bankers HELP THEMSELVES to seniors bank accounts. It's a scam on our elderly. You have integrity and morals to pass up this pyramid scheme company, plus you would have soon fell prey to their scam because Bankers would also take money from you.

You are a complete n-u-t. They certainly do have a call center in India and Jamaca.

And certainly do exactly the kind of thing this person has stated. You think the 'excellent' commission plan which you are prohibited from disclosing, is enough of a reson to be here, once again, defending the most unethical company on the planet? The the complaints are from people who "did something wrong"?.....attention, recruits!! This is the type of person who is at Bankers Life and Casualty,....this the 'party-line' they have them believing.

All who leave this sorry company "did something", so be sure to not/don't call them to help you get your policy straightened out or moved away from Bankers...... you are bazarr, and strange....no normal person in their right mind would want to be around a criminal mind like you...at least you shouldn't feel the need to even lie about the overseas call center...you fr*eak.

Guest

I have read the majority of the posts on the Internet regarding supposed scams by Bankers life and Casualty Co. Let me forts say that most of the scams are caused by overzealous and deceitful agents, not the Company. There are no W4 Agents, all are 1099 - independent agents (you run your own business, but you sell BLC products).

So far I have received compensation for the money I spent on getting licensed (in 2 states), paid for training (4 days) on selling BLC products and a Cash card with $50 loaded to compensate me for driving to the training.

All the things I read make no sense. For example the comments above.

We are taught that the core beliefs and principles at BLC are (1) Not selling anyone a policy they don't need and (2) never sell them one they cannot afford. We spend an enormous amount of time gather the data the supports issuing a policy, we are field underwriters as well. If someone cancels a policy in X period of time after it is issued, we get penalized. In fact, after a certain number, you can no longer qualify for quarterly or annual bonuses. So, cutting off my nose to spite my face makes no sense to sane people.

BLC does not have a call center in India or anywhere outside the U.S., in fact the calls for interviews come directly from the office where you go for your interview. They do indeed watch the major job posting boards such as Monster.com because they are a good source of potential agents. It's a numbers game - you contact 100 and maybe 30 respond and maybe 15 actually show up for an interview and then maybe only 5 actually pass the state's exams for licensing and get an offer.

Being an independent agent means you run your own business as you see fit, within the guidelines of the Agreement you sign with BLC. Set your own hours, take vacations when you want, pay your own taxes, etc. But if you want to make a decent living you have to commit to the process and work it.

They do have an excellent commission plan (which I am prohibited from disclosing)and having been around this planet for more than 50 years and knowing what other insurance companies demand of you and offer you for compensation, it's the top dog, bar none.

The majority of the complaints from former agents are merely sour grapes. They don't tell you the entire story, but I can assure you that they did something wrong to get dismissed.

Your best bet would be to save enough money to completely live off of for one year, then rent an apartment to wherever you are locating, and SEE for yourself. These places are scamming, and I thought my 'interview' was real, but I am hearing that it is not.

I had a 'group' meeting, it was more like a presentation..then they call you back the same day for an individual interview, and tell you you have to be licensed to sell insurance, pay this amount, or this amount, or this amount, or get this package, or this one.....went home and mulled over how I was going to get the money for this, and in such a short amount of time (I had to do it within 10 days), my boyfriend borowed the money from his brother. So I can become this 'sugga momma', and get everyone caught up on their bills.

I am highly intelligent, but feel saddened, and enraged to have the insecurity of doubting myself. How dare they?

Guest

i just got a call from them, not to long ago set up a meeting, but unfortunatly i always google companys after, and anything on commision i wont and found it weird that they only deal with elderly. not going for sure ty people. lol

Guest

Yes, went through 2 group interviews and I thought it was for an admin job. But, it was for an agent position.

I felt a little mislead. Looks great but am concerned it is much more difficult to make money there than what they lead you to believe.

They seem sincere in wanting to help seniors. I do think some seniors think all people are trying to scam them though so those comments I would take with a grain of salt.

Guest

Bankers Life is a pyramid ponzi scheme that targets the elderly, robbing them of their life savings. Bankers Life is being investigated by the US Senate for the aging in Washington DC for fraud on the elderly.

If I were your sick relative and you were even considering working for Bankers Life, I'd lock my doors on you, because anyone who works for Bankers is a low life thieving *** piece of *** I hope you can read this and the thousands of other comments on this site that are telling you the same thing about this trash company.

I can't believe you even ask this question on this site.

Every Bankers Life employee with feel the fire to their souls for the harm they have done to the elderly on earth! Thieves, Thou shall not steal!!

Bankers Life and Casualty Scam

I was contacted by this company after I posted my resume on line regarding a "supposed" sales and management position. First, the interviewer appeared to be reading from a script. Second, when I asked specific information about the position the person could not answer my questions. Third, the person first stated this was a long term position and when I said I was looking for permenant work he then changed his mind and said it was permanent. I asked to call the gentleman back and immediately came on line to check out the company. Judging from all of the complaints listed here I can see that this is another scam targeting unemployed persons/ BEWARE - Hang up the phone if you are contacted.

You guys should look into things before you write out complaints on the internet. My mother started working for Bankers Life 3 years ago and we were *** broke when she started.

She was a single mom raising my brother and myself. Since then, our lifestyle has been improved ten-fold. Seriously. She makes pretty good money considering shes been there for three years.

She works incredibly hard, and continues to help seniors every single day with medicare, annuities, and etc.

I see her work 12 hours a day running appointments, then she comes home and does another 2 hours of paperwork. Maybe you shouldn't go to a branch thats in a *** run down shopping center.

Guest

I was contacted earlier this week by a woman who asked if I could come in for an "interview" the following day. I asked her where she viewed my resume and she said she had found it on Indiana Career Connect.

I told her that I couldn't make it to the interview the next day, so she asked if I could be there that Friday, I told her yes. So, I went today for my "interview"...... First impressions are everything, right? My first impression, was..."wtf".

Their building was a run down building in a run down shopping plaza. I go inside to get this interview over with. I find that it isn't an interview like the lady stated on the phone, it was an informational seminar. Telling us the "perks" of working for them.

Talking about this, that, and blah blah blah. I also found out that I would have 16 week training course, which I wouldn't get paid, since the pay is commissioned base. Then after the training, I would have to pay money out of my pocket to take an exam for my license.

Of course, they are going to reimburse me the money I would have to pay out for my exam.

I walked away from that place, thinking to myself, why did I just waste my gas.

Guest

I recently got a call to go in for an interview at Bankers Life & Casualty.. I am VERY in need of more money, so I was interested in the position that they had available for me although they were NOT very clear over the phone as to what the position was exactly (which should have been a red flag from jump), but I tried to give it the benefit of the doubt and go anyway. When I walked into a conference room FULL of people, I felt like it was shady. But the "interviewer" insisted that it was because they had so many potential agents that it was better if they got to tell all of the company's info AT ONCE... but if you're "interviewing" people that you are wanting to work with - it should still be an interview process with each individual to know them, right? Heh. Anyway.... he got to talking about how the company is a great company and blah blah and how you'd have to pay $200 to get your license and training, and how in other states it's usually $500+ or more for licensing in other states (I reside in MI) :| RIGHT then I knew it was bull. A friend of mine currently just got hired to an insurance company and they paid for ALL of her training and licensing.

IF A COMPANY IS SAYING YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR YOUR TRAINING - IT'S ***

They claimed they'd call back whoever they felt were potential candidates to a 2nd interview (which I'm pretty sure they called everyone back lmao) They called me back to schedule an interview for tomorrow... I am not going. I knew this company was fishy, and it's not fair because I am pretty sure lots of people are vulnerable right now with how the economy is.

Guest

First contact your states insurance commissioner with this complaint on Bankers and also contact the US Senate Special Committee for aging in Washington DC., the federal government is investigating Bankers.

Anne, I'm sorry for your pain and this *** company who has scammed you.

Guest

Three months ago I fell and broke my hip, and since that time I have needed home care. My claim for benefits under the Bankers Life Home Care Policy has been delayed every day for three months because of an endless set of paperwork and forms that Bankers Life has sent to me.

I finally complained to our state Insurance Commissioner. Today Bankers Life phoned me to say that they are denying my claim because my home health providers are not licensed with their company. Bankers Life continues to deduct almost $200 each month from my checking account to maintain this fraudulent policy.

My home hospice expenses have been almost $10,000 each month, plus hospital, doctor, and assisted-living center care. Banker's Life has refused to pay any of these expenses.

Guest

Yes, an IMO is the way to go in the industry of insurance. But...you should be offended that this company even exists.

It is an offense, that the state regulators are having to explain why they are allowed to operate, in an otherwise honerable profession. These blood suck*ers are robbing agents and clients, it is painfully obvious, how dishonest, and thieving they are. You can't possibly consider your advise will offset this boil on the a*ss of insurance. What will help is to see the CEO's handcuffed and walking out of their numerous locations (which, they have more of than an identity thief), while those 'men in black' are carrying what's left of the records they haven't shredded, out in boxes.

Then recruits and the public can have a modicum of confidence that money grubbing entities like this will be stopped. These guys who smell the deciet are correct and intuitive, as the start-up cost is not the issue, it's the structure of spending that kind of money, paying into their office accounts (for goodies for the manager's wives and girlfriends), then paying back the ill gotten commissions on those low grade, substandard, non-claimable, high cost, accutuarially bogus, policies that make this company not the place to be, and not the company for anyone to let into their home,or their seniors home.....Got it?

Guest

READ THIS SITE AGAIN CAREFULLY. BANKER'S LIFE IS A PYRAMID SCAM TARGETING THE ELDERLY!!

BANKER'S AGENTS SELL WORTHLESS EXPENSIVE POLICIES WITHOUT BENEFITS TO SENIORS!!

BANKERS IS BEING INVESTIGATED BY THE FEDERAL GOV IN WASHINGTON DC FOR SCAM AND FRAUD.

NO ONE ON HERE GIVES A RATS A*SS ABOUT START UP COST FOR AN INSURANCE JOB!

RUN RUN RUN JOB SEEKERS!!!

Guest

First just let me say that I DO NOT work at Bankers but what I think everyone is missing here is the fact that in the insurance industry, for the most part, it is your own business and what ever company an agent gets contracted with will pretty much run in the same manner. You will have to buy leads so as to get in front of people who are interested in buying the type of insurance product you are selling because if you do not, you're going to spend an awful lot of time either knocking on doors or bugging family and friends for their business.

If someone is unemployed, this isn't the industry that you want to jump into unless you have some kind of cash reserve that you can rely on for a while. There is no other industry where a person can enter into and make the kind of money that one can make as quickly as the insurance industry but it is hard work on the outset and it can cost you some money but as with any business, you will have start up costs.

You can't think of this as a job because it is commission based not a salaried position. Whether you get contracted through an IMO, (insurance marketing organization) or direct with a company such as Bankers or New York Life, you will have start up costs, this does not make it a scam or a pyramid scheme, it is simply the way the industry operates.

Let's hope not. I think Bankers is a good example why there is a ***

I received a call from them today. Saying they saw my resume on line and I was hires. Wow! I live in Michigan and our economy sucks am I really that desirable. Nope, I can see a scam from a mile away. I told her sorry but I have no car right now. She "just call us when that situation changes for you and the job will be here for you."
