Bankers Life And Casualty Company in Portland, Oregon - Suspicious interview notification

I also got a call from some Gail so-and-so and could not even understand the name of the company when she left a message. Called back and could not understand the gist of the company but yet suddenly I was expected to show up for an interview the following day at 11am before much was even clarified at all. My background is completely unrelated to predatory health insurance companies, so after an internet search of their company I knew something was up. Very thankful to the reviews left on this site to help me act on my gut instinct to cancel the interview post haste. If the reports are true about having to pay for your time at the interview(s) I'm glad I acted accordingly. Thank you vigilant comment writers and "pissed consumer" website!

I also got a phone call yesterday from this lady named Joelle, who left me a message saying she found my resume on monster and believed my background was fit for the position they had currently available in their company. Weird!!!

because my back ground got nothing to do with sales and financial products. So i called her back and she thanked me like 5 times for doing so and scheduled an interview for Monday. No job description was mentioned, but I was asked to bring my resume and dress professionally. Today I decided to go online and get some more info about the company so I could be prepared for Monday.

As soon as I google it the scam link comes up.

As I'm speaking i'm reading all these reviews and Im glad I decided to google this in the first place. Lesson learned: always google everything you come accross!!!!

I agree! When they called me about my resume they left a message and I literally had to listen to it over and over to try & understand what their company name was.

There were dogs baking right behind the lady who was leaving the message lol! So I ended up calling back out of curiosity but played phone tag for a few days. I realized during that time that something just wasn't right so I never tried calling them again.

2 weeks later the same woman called me again. If this was a legit job offer, they certainly wouldn't be so persistent about getting me to come interview...they would have moved on to the next person who was qualified and left me in the dust for not getting back to them!

Bankers Life And Casualty Company in Miami, Florida - Banker &life and casualty

I am the caregiver of myaunt who also had 2 policy with banker life one home health , and the other a long time care policy, she was living by herself in conneticut so I decided i would move her to florida and put her in an assisted living facility they assisted me with filling out the forms , but they would not pay. I could not afford the 1800 a month they were charging so i had to stop paying the policy on the long term care and kept the home health care she has had these policy over 10 years , and now has lost all the money she paid into these premiums.I am waiting to see what will be the outcome of this one, Bankers life needs to be investigated they prey on elderly people to get them to buy insurance and when time to pay they give them the run a around. It,s a shame that a big company is allowed to get away with this scam on the elderly

That's the largest load of junk I've seen lately. The policy is what it is, with a loss of two ADL's, or a cognitive impairment, certified to be for at least 90 days, by a physician, not a 'nurse'.

It cover assisted living and facility care and home care, if it's the plan code you are referencing. Your "loved" ones should not have to resubmit, submitted paperwork multiple times, and stand on their heads, only to be denied by your scamming company. Medicare is another different story, which should not have to be explained to a scamming agent and company. Your pile of cr*ap is just that.

We are not impressed. Nurses don't do "classifications" you basic POS, and reimbursement codes, are not a "rating" system.

You are a perfect example of an ignorant, ignorantly trained agent. It's sad that you will be out there selling this line of 'S' to some poor seniors this week, hopefully, their "loved" ones will look here and put a stop to it.

The reimbursements (payments received by insurance companies) are based on what the doctors prescribed for your loved one and on how the nurses classified your loved one in the medical records. That's how all policies including Medicare and Medicaid determine how much to pay based on your loved one's medical condition.

There is a rating system to determine how much to receive from all insurance companies including Bankers. All insurance companies determine the reimbursement to pay back to the client or the facility, based on the claims submitted by the nursing facility, home health care agency or the assisted living facility. There is a difference between all these facilities. Assisted living facilities are for residents who are more independent so qualifying for reimbursements from long term care policies are harder.

Nursing facilities are for residents requiring more nursing care so reimbursements from insurance companies are easier because the resident requires more medical assistance, and so forth. Go to www.cms.gov and check Medicare coding to determine how Medicare "reimburses" the facility and that will give you the foundation on how insurance companies pay. It's not the insurance companies to blame on, it's how everyone in the health industry report the person's health through the government agency.

There is a different code for each type of care. Insurance companies look at the same report submitted by the facilities through the same government agency - CMS - who is in charge of Medicare.

Bankers Life And Casualty Company in Bellevue, Washington - Bankers Life & Casualty misleads people

I worked for Bankers Life & Casualty (aka. Bankers, Bankers Life)in Austin,TX. The premise is to get as many people per week into a career briefing. Recruiters are paid (100% commission)for how many people they get into the group interviews. $10 - $15 per show to interview. There is no base pay,no health benefits, no PTO, no vacation, and no paid training.Recruiters list off management positions but even if you have supervisory skills, you will only be contracted for the insurance sales agent position. You will start from the bottom.Don't waste you time or money. There is a $100 administration fee (this helps get the recruiters paid), license fees $250 for a permanent, $150 for a temporary. At the end of 90 days, one still has to pay for the $250 permanent license. The test to get the license to solicit their insurance products is $70-each time you have to take it, and there is a $50 finger print fee.All takes place in three interviews and about $500 out of your pocket.

Bankers is being investigated by the federal government as we read! Just google and you will find that Banker's CEO's or their "Bernie Madoff's" are quitting. Banker's is finally going to be brought to justice for scamming the elderly with their pyramid *** sucking company.

BEWARE of the company Colonial Penn, Bankers is trying to build under this name because they know "We specialize in seniors" moto has got their as-es caught as to how they target seniors.

Burn in He-- every da-n one of you Bankers idiots who is preying off these defenseless people for greed!!

It IS true. EVERY branch is the same.

BLC doesn't care for their agents or their clients. BLC is nothing but a legal ponzi scheme.

The only people making the money are BLC suits off the agents backs. Quit drinking the kook aid M!!!

That is TOTALLY false information! I can't believe you would waste your time to post such BS.

I have been familiar with Bankers in the past and have now worked for the company for over 2 years! That is a complete LIE!

I won;t talk (like you) as if every Bankers branch operates the same, but I can honestly tell you that I'm not paid that way, we NEVER lie to people and it's not a "cattle call" where I work, we are very selective! Sorry about your bad experience but I can say with complete honesty that mine has been nothing but positive!!!!!!

They will spin it too saying that it is "only $500, where else can you start your own company for ONLY $500?" Biggest mistake of my life. I left 7 months ago after trying it for 20 months.

It almost ended my marriage and my family. Stay away from this company.
