Bankers Life And Casualty Company - Employee Experience Review from Penn Hills, Pennsylvania

2.0
Details
I was led to believe that we were in the business to help people. My only mistake was believing the office manager . I was put into the management role which required me to keep a group of agents squiring weekly appointments and writing business. I lost all my money and am now in debt to more than 25k in credit card expense. I had to max out to pay my bills . I got divorced and lost everything , and moved to another state. My debt followed me and now I'm totally screwed. Overall I had a very bad te while working for Bankers.

Bankers Life And Casualty Company - Job Offer Review from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

A foreign lady gave me a call about reviewing my resume and offering me a job over the phone. Now being a senior executive first of all I never hire anyone over a phone but what I expect them to take a job via the phone call especially the initial call. This place is nothing but a scam to get people into do commission sales without a college degree. Not to mention today is a holiday and this lady left two messages. Then called me back this afternoon. Scam. Scam

That's not true because Bankers will pay for your Insurance license if you do not have one at the time you apply. I've never heard anyone recruiting over the phone for a management position, they DO NOT hire for those positions, you have to earn then through your performance, so I do not know where that woman got that from.

@CubAme

What "woman" are you referring to? The OP does not reveal their gender and there was no woman mentioned in their posting!

Also, you are mumbling something about recruiting over the phone for management positions. What? Again, that was not mentioned in the OP's posting.

You need to stop responding to people here, as you are not a very good representative for Bankers Life on these forums. I am sure they would appreciate it if you would shut your cake hole and let someone more experienced and educated respond.

Bankers Life And Casualty Company - Employment Interview Review from Bethel Park, Pennsylvania

I was called for an interview. I am a masters level social worker. I asked the recruiter why she was calling me and she said she had seen my résumé online. I told her I would be able to come up and meet with her sales manager briefly. But they insisted on business attire and I emailed ahead and told them I am mandated to wear scrubs. I did not persue them, they Persued me and went on to tell me basically that it was unacceptable for me to wear scrubs even when I explained I would be there very early and run up to green tree and back to work when I was done. They were so ignorant. Again, they sought me out! I did not even apply to them! So insulting!

Bankers Life And Casualty Company in York, Pennsylvania - Thought I was special

My story follows with many others. Within 24 hours of generating an account with Monster, I received an email saying that they saw my resume and found me a good match with their company. I was flattered, but could not understand why an Electronics Technician would be a good match. I did some research and found this site, along with others websites talking about the company's ploy.I received a call today from them today, it was extremely tough to get them off the phone, they do not take "no thank you" very well. I suppose if you are into being a pushy phone solictor and do not care who you infringe upon, this may be the job for you.

Funny how I read this as I was waiting on the second interview-group session. So really I was waiting the whole time for the grand slam. Finally BAM! The cost to work. I agree with having to pay for a lic. to sell insurance. I don't agree with the $265 I have to...

Diddo to everyone's comments. I too got a call, told me to show up in business attire (like I wouldn't anyways, duh)and they could only meet with me on a Wed.

at 1 PM and they were very sketchy about the job being offered. I initially set up the appointment, they sent me an email telling me to expect 2 hrs!

Who interviews for 2 hrs.! I emailed them back after reading all these bad reviews on them.

Bankers Life And Casualty Company in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - Confusing phone call

I received a phone call from Bankers Life, and they supposedly got my resume off of monster jobs (they called it "munster" Obviously read by computer), I do not know how they received the number since I only emailed my resume to specific companies. I have absolutely no qualifications in the sales are and would never be contacted based on my resume. The "woman" or machine could not answer my questions directly. I was glad to have researched the company before going to the interview. I of course will not be going now. I hope this helps people in the future who are contacted by this company.

Im not sure what to think after reading these emails. I was scheduled an interview with them.

I recieved the call today and wanted to goggle b/c i have also had lots of past expirence from searching jobs online and the scams along with them. The lady that contacted me seemed pretty clear about what the job and inteview would intel. She said I would b a sales associate for the company and they are willing to provide training to the right canidate.

Is there anyone that actually went to the interview and had a positive outcome from it? :upset :?

Yes any *** can get to the top of google.. but when scam pages out rank a businesses actual webpage that is not a good sign.

While some people may have had good dealings with this company it seems a lot have not and have been scammed and lost money.

Look at all the complaints and stories on here.. why would all these people make up stories about a company just for the *** of it.

Dude, first, sorry to say, but you're an id iot, scam. It's a reputable business that has been around longer than most, and It is one of the most successful insurance companies in America, and no, I don't do anything for them.

However their cost to get a license is about 65 dollars more than getting it through my state (TX) which they will allow you to do. By the way, any id iot can get to the top of Google.
