My mom paid on a policy for decades with Bankers for long term care. Now Bankers keeps saying they need this or that knowing it was received already so they can delay payment. It’s really hard to believe this company is allowed to do senior citizens this way. This is a...

I am 76, now have Parkinson's, and after paying more than $18,000 to BL (they keep the interest of course), I too cannot get reliable information, only the run around. I am told different stories, especially since the Customer Service is in Jamaica. Does anyone know of a consumer lawsuit?

When my dad died in 1999 bankers was the best. Sent a team to the house spoke with all involved. We left all funds in place. Mom passed away 2014 we were blown off at every turn, finally removed all funds and went elsewhere.

You were smart to move the funds, when my Mom passed away in October 2015 it was very difficult to get the beneficiary funds; played games, said forms were not received, OR MY FAVORITE: The correct forms were not used-BUT THEY SENT THE FORMS TO ME- go figure! Even better, more than a year later never contacted me to inform that there were still 2 policies that I never cashed out (was unaware of them, really) it totaled over $22K!

I guess they were just going to let the funds sit there forever! Then once I did inquire, it was next to impossible to get the funds released, made me fax a copy of my marriage certificate (no, no name changes, no address changes,...nothing) even though I completed them the same exact way I had done the original claim forms.

But, after 2 faxes, and 5 phone calls, I finally received the funds that my deceased mother had intended for me to have all along. This organization does not have INTEGRITY!!!!!!!

When I was first looking for a career, I looked at a large number of companies and went on several interviews. I chose Bankers Life for a number of reasons. One. Leads. Most companies don't furnish any leads. You are on your own. Two. They are one of the few...

But if you are honest, you will admit the leads they provide are people that have been called many, many times before and are sick to death oif it.

They will withdraw funds from your bank account and they play with the issue dates to keep the overage withdrawal amounts. They will stop payments to medical providers to the point you will have to pay from your pocket. 6 months later they will pay the doctors but by...

Bankers Life And Casualty Company Insurance Review

Biggest ripoff I have seen. Not trustworthy and very expensive . no insurance covers long term so it's better off to put money aside for long term care. Parents paid over 70000 thousand dollars .The premiums were over 4 thousand a year for both parents. My dad just passed away and was sick 6 months from cancer and will get very little money back. DONT purchase this insurance .You will regret it.

I would never advise anyone to bankers life It is better to put money in a savings account at an early age to pay for your long care. Parents have paid over 60 thousand dollars and my dad has been six for 6 months with no reimbursement

Bankers Life And Casualty Company - Review in Insurance category from Arlington, Texas

I actually work for Banker's and can tell you that it's not a scam. It is however insurance sales, so if you don't like sales, steer clear. Also, the reason they post the salary as 30-200k is because it is entirely based on commission, so what you sell is what you get. My example, in the first two months I made $300, the third I made $1500 and in the last two months (I have been here five months) I made roughly $10,000 each month (sell the *** out of annuities). I work out of the Dallas area; the company is nationwide and been around since the 1880's.

Bankers Life And Casualty Company in Athens, Texas - SO UPSETTING!!!

I actually worked at another company just like this and quit for this very reason!! Bankers and Winning Strategies Marketing are two of the lowest and degradable companies I've ever heard of in my life!! Not only do they try to make you feel as if you are helping the elderly, they actually are PREYING on them. It is very sad and should be stopped. They also are preying on their employees. DO NOT BE MISLEAD!!! Bankers will try to make you feel as if this a way to build your "CAREER" but it is all a lie!! They even want your bank info so they can take the money out for the classes they said that THEY paid for!! This is a ridiculous scheme. After people work all their lives to accumulate what they have for their families, bankers wants to take it!! I am not very stable financially, but even I will not stoop this low. Anyone who cares for their own parents and/or grandparents should NOT want to do this to someone another persons.

When you go to a site called "pissedoffcustomer", what do you expect to find.

I have worked for 5 insurance companies over a 15 year career. I went to the BL&c "interview" clear in my mind that it would be a presentation, not an interview. The negatives were plainly spoken in the first 10 minutes. Those not interested in commission only insurance sales were invited to leave if it was not their interest.

My experience has been that those looking for a guaranteed wage career will always complain when they fail at commissioned sales and blame others for their own mistakes.

I have not decided to work for this company, but it is because I know from honesty that I may not be able to handle the demands and temptations of commissioned sales work.

It takes courage to look in the mirror and accept one's own limitations and not blame others for them.

If this type of work is for you, don't let the whiners here spoil your potential. Go look at it for yourself. If you are in the 2% who are honest with yourselves, this will be a great ride.

Stay positive. Don't let the failures of others dim your future. What kind of achiever is unwilling to give two hours to look at a good opportunity. Most of you looking are not happy with where you are now anyway.

You are a fool Someone needs to look after the elderly. Insurance is far less costly than the nursing home unless you spend down and get it free (Medicaid).

I do not know anyone that wants to give all they have to the government. Long term care insurance is costly if you are over 60.

Bankers covers people other companies won't and they are far from the most expensive out there. :zzz
